This gallery was shot entirely with the Nikon V1 camera & 10-30mm lens. Handheld, no tripod. Shutter speed was mostly at 1/15 sec...and look how sharp these photos are. A testament to a very good vibration reduction/image stabilization in the Nikon lens. If you have moving subjects, you're better off in shutter priority mode so you can increase the shutter speed. The V1 likes to use a slower shutter speed when in auto-ISO mode before it increases the ISO to a much higher level. (Update: Nikon's latest firmware update now lets the camera decide on a faster shutter speed in low light which is better for moving subjects - less motion blur). The gallery dedicated to the Nikon V1 with my thoughts on the V1 is here:Nikon V1 Gallery

This is the National U.S. Air Force Museum near Dayton, OH. We've been there several times since it's only about 1:15 minutes from where I live. One of the great things about the museum is that admission is FREE. There are several LARGE hangers full of airplanes dating from the very oldest to the most modern. Most of the planes can be seen inside, but there are a few exhibits outdoors, which I've not visited yet. This is a first class museum and well worth a visit.
